the worse case scenario- the Riot act is the final solution
The Police is the symbol which represent the Government of Jamaica The sight of one of these usually encourages even law abiding citizen even to hurl a bottle or 2 This is not Justice as I witness an incident where , there was these Police Officers- who administer the law in the most callous manner, only to find themselves surrounded. In an effort to regain control- shaking at the knees with his M16 been waves about- he attempted to recite the Riot Act. Need to do some more research as I need to find the actual section of the Police Manuals under which the Riot Act can be invoked. Only heard it once in Jamaica- and it fail, but the Law requires it to be read under certain conditions and these needs to be established- otherwise the legality of Police action in stop a simple Brawl is questionable.
